Contact Upland CA Plumbing Experts: Call Dispatch or Send a Non-Urgent Question

The fastest way to reach a plumber is to call. Calling is the fastest route, and the call is routed to a plumber serving your part of the Pomona Valley.

If your question can wait until morning, email works too. Both routes are on this page, along with what to have ready so the first call goes quickly.

Call dispatch for anything that cannot wait

Active leaks, a toilet or floor drain backing up, no hot water in the middle of winter, or a smell of sewer gas in the house: these are call-now situations. Use the number at the top of any page, or tap the call bar that follows you down the page on a phone.

If water is moving and you know where the main shutoff is, close it before you dial. The shutoff is usually at the street meter box, on the side of the house, or in the garage. Dispatch can talk you through finding it if you are not sure.

What to have ready when you call

A few facts let dispatch route the call to the right plumber the first time.

  • The street address and the nearest cross street, including which of the towns we serve the property is in.
  • What you can see or hear: where the water is, which fixture is affected, and whether it is clear, brown or dirty.
  • Whether the main shutoff has been closed, and whether anyone has already tried a plunger or a drain product.
  • The age of the home and the water heater, if you know them. Older Upland homes often have different pipe and sewer materials than newer tracts.
  • A callback number in case the line drops.

Email for planned jobs, not an active leak or backed-up drain

For a planned job, a question about a page on this site, or a note about something that looks wrong here, write to [email protected]. Please do not use email for an active leak or a backed up drain, because mail is not watched the way the phone line is.

Include the street address and a short description of the job. Photos help for fixtures and water heaters, so attach them if you have them.

Where dispatch reaches

Dispatch serves Upland, the neighbouring towns of the Pomona Valley and the Inland Empire foothills, and the Chino Valley. The full list is on the service areas page. If your town is not listed, call anyway and ask. Coverage depends on which plumbers are working that day.

Coverage depends on who is working that day, so the town is asked for early in the call.

What happens after you call

Dispatch confirms the address and the problem, then routes the call to a plumber serving that part of the valley. The plumber contacts you to confirm the details and arrival, and any price is agreed with the plumber before work starts.

If the problem turns out to be bigger than it sounded, say a water heater leak that has reached the drywall, the plumber will tell you so on arrival. Nobody can diagnose a pipe by phone, and one that looks simple from the doorway often is not.

If you called about something that is not on the services list, ask anyway. The list on the services page is what dispatch handles most, and it is not the edge of what local plumbers do.
